Albert Camus is a French prose writer, philosopher and essayist, close to existentialism. Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957. He was born in 1913 in Algeria. A native of a poor family he studied philosophy and began writing from university years. Tested the influence of Friedrich Nietzsche, Fyodor Dostoevsky and André Gide, later André Malraux. He worked as a journalist, collaborated with anarchists, was fond of theater. In 1960 he died in a car accident.
